It's a very exciting week for Marvel fans, as Avengers: Endgame is finally arriving in theaters. It's been a long year of waiting since Infinity War hit theaters, and shocked moviegoers by having Thanos win over the good guys. Audiences were left to watch in horror as countless characters faded to dust before our eyes, in a twist ending no one was expecting.

But there were a few characters whose fate was left vague, as they weren't seen being dusted in the Wakandan field. Chief among them is T'Challa's sister Shuri, playing by Letitia Wright. Shuri was confirmed to be dusted when Endgame's character posters hit the internet, leaving fans disappointed about the genius princess. It turns out that Wright found out about Shuri the same way, recently saying:

It was surprising. I saw everybody in the colored photos, you know the colored posters, and then I saw myself in grey. And I was like, 'I just died out of nowhere!' I think the whole of Twitter was pretty upset so I kind of logged off and didn't log back on. So I'm waiting to see how that came together and how that panned out tonight.

Letitia Wright's comments to Marvel Entertainment come from the Avengers: Endgame purple carpet at last night's premiere. And they're likely going to surprise many fans, who thought that the actors at least knew whether they lived or died. But Wright was kept in the dark like everyone else, which just shows how tight security is at Marvel Studios. Especially when it comes to Endgame.

When we last saw Shuri, she was attempting to separate Vision's consciousness from the Mind Stone. She warned it wold be a long process, but the Black Order brought massive forces that eventually put Shuri in the fray. She briefly faced off against Corvus Glaive with her Gauntlets, before he and Vision came to blows and flew out the window. Letitia Wright's character wasn't seen again, and wasn't shown turning to dust alongside the rest of the Avengers and Guardians.

The first Avengers: Endgame trailer showed Shuri among the fallen characters, but some fans thought this might be a red herring. The Russo Brothers have already admitted to putting fake footage into trailers, allowing moviegoers to be truly surprised by the film's contents. But once the movie's character posters arrived last month, Shuri's fate was sealed. She was one of the many characters to get a black and white poster, meaning she was dusted as a result of The Decimation

With both Shuri and T'Challa gone, Wakanda is without a ruler. What happened to the technologically advanced society after half the population vanished?

A Bumblebee Sequel Is Reportedly In Development After International Success

While Aquaman's success has been the one we've waxed poetic about the most over the last several weeks, Paramount's Bumblebee has quietly been the little engine that could. It's amassed over $401 million worldwide---enough that it looks like producers are in development on a sequel to the Transformers prequel.

News broke over the weekend that Bumblebee's success at finding an audience has led to early development on a follow-up. The move comes before the movie has even finished its box office run. It's still currently in plenty of domestic and worldwide movie theaters (it's #1 in China!) and is even set to premiere in Japan coming up in March; Japan will be the last country the movie debuts in. So, it certainly hasn't reached the end of its shelf life yet.

In fact, Japan has been a strong market for previous Transformers franchise movies, so there's every indication it could be a good place, box office-wise, for release, as well.

So, Bumblebee is making money; however, that's not always a good reason to greenlight a sequel. Luckily, there are plenty of directions a follow-up to Bumblebee could go as well.

Director Travis Knight previously mentioned to CinemaBlend that he has already had ideas for Bumblebee 2 and where the relationship between Charlie and Bee goes. Hailee Steinfeld also concurred that she would be interested to see where Charlie's story goes and even John Cena is pumped about the prospect of a follow-up.

In its report, Deadline mentions the idea of a Bumblebee and Optimus Prime team-up, which wouldn't be the worse idea in the world, especially since we've heard a standalone Optimus Prime flick might be difficult to pull off. In fact, other prequel stories featuring different Transformers characters could eventually come down the pipeline as well, although other iterations have not currently been announced to the public.

We do know that Megatron almost featured in Bumblebee before Travis Knight changed his mind after putting the story boards together thanks to realizing that would have totally messed with the whole timeline in all of the Transformers movies so far.

It's interesting looking at a prequel franchise and how it can often be limited by the choices the parent franchise has made, but given that Bumblebee has been fairly well-received and put a new spin on the franchise, the fact that a follow-up is in the works is likely welcome for a lot of fans.

If you haven't caught Bumblebee yet, it's still out in theaters right now, along with other holiday releases like Aquaman and Mary Poppins returns and 2019 releases like The Upside and Glass. Did Ant-Mans Evangeline Lilly Spoil Infinity War Months Ago?

In the current state of Hollywood, nothing is more taboo than giving away spoilers to big blockbuster movies, but it looks like Evangeline Lilly may have done exactly that. Looking back at her social media feed from the end of last year, the actress posted an image of herself, complete with her Hope Van Dyne haircut from the first Ant-Man movie, and along with it, she chose a very interesting word that means quite a lot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe today.

The post was made back in December on Evangeline Lilly's Instagram but was only recently unearthed by Twitter user @LUCIFER who pointed out the interesting use of the word "dusted" before even Avengers: Infinity War was released, nevermind Ant-Man and the Wasp, the movie where Lilly's character herself suffered such a fate in a post-credits scene.

Of course, without any context, it just looks like a post about a successful day at work. "Done and dusted" isn't that unusual a phrase to use. However, given the fact that dust is exactly what half the MCU now is following "the snap" and the fact that Evangeline Lilly is clearly making a reference to Hop Van Dyne in the associated image, it's possible she was giving away the game, just in a way nobody was likely to notice. Evangeline Lilly celebrated the end of filming Ant-Man and the Wasp back in November which means that she had filmed the post-credits scene by the time she made this post in December.

If this isn't an intentional reference that Evangeline Lilly just knew nobody would get, then it is a fairly odd coincidence. It's always possible that's the case. Even though she almost certainly knew how both Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp were going to end, she might not have made the connection herself when she made her comment. Maybe.

Of course, if she did make the comment intentionally, then that means that we need to dig into the social media feeds of everybody in the MCU and see if anybody else has potentially dropped hints about Avengers 4 that perhaps we haven't figured out. Without context, it's virtually impossible to figure anything like that out, and Marvel has done a fantastic job of keeping us context-free, but now I have to wonder if the answer is out there someplace, just in a way we won't understand until after the movie comes out.

All the answers, whether they've been secretly revealed or not, will be here next year when Avengers 4 finally hits theaters. Until then, check out everything that we do know about the film, which is a lot, even though we don't know much about the ending.
